Award Process
Each essay will be reviewed twice by a diverse review panel representing, but not limited to, community-based organizations, minority populations, and people living with HIV/AIDS. Reviewers will take the following important criteria into consideration:
- How the applicant's attendance will have a direct and immediate impact on HIV prevention in his/her community
- Why this particular conference will be a benefit to the applicant and his/her community
- The different ways in which the applicant will share with his/her community the knowledge acquired at the conference
- What strategies the applicant will implement to disseminate the information to his/her community
The application form must be completed no later than Friday, March 13, 2009. Please submit one application per individual, with a maximum of two applications per organization, agency, or group. The essay portion of the application must be completed in order to be considered for a sponsorship award. Applications that are submitted after March 13, 2009, will not be accepted.
