Late Breaker Abstract Submission Information

Late-breaking abstracts are intended to enable the presentation of cutting-edge research and information that was not yet known or fully available at the time of the regular abstract submission deadline in January 2009. Late-breaking abstracts are not abstracts that demonstrate what we already know; rather; late breakers are unique in that they provide exciting, new data that is relevant to reducing the spread of HIV infection.

The late-breaking abstract deadline is not an extension of the abstract submission deadline. Like all NHPC abstracts, information contained in a late-breaking abstract must not be published prior to the 2009 NHPC in August 2009.

Late breaker abstract submissions will be accepted from April 20, 2009, until midnight (EST), May 15, 2009.

All abstracts will be peer-reviewed and notification to authors is expected to occur in June 2009. All accepted abstracts will be published on the conference abstract CD-ROM. Abstracts may be submitted without registration form and payment. Authors whose submissions have been accepted are expected to register and pay the conference registration fees. At the time of final submission, all authors are requested to complete all of the submission forms including the Conference Registration Form, Biographical Data Form, Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form, etc. This information will only be used for those abstracts selected for presentation at the conference. All other information will be destroyed and not shared with any other group or organization.
